Sun Melody

this mask of sunlight i wear,
a downpour turns away
this skin, like light it shines,
isn't here to soak or stay
this look that lies above
is mirrored in thick blood beneath
like light it shines
and fills my every crease
an admiration of these moons
in you and me finds, finds
our viscid ponds and nods towards the heart,
like light it shines through you
this mask of sunlight i wear
follows me everywhere
this mask of sunlight is here
and it hears my every thought

Mud Switch
02:11
|
|||
glued by sweat
my shoulders pinned
stir my spit
tongue and spin
seize my neck
push into me
paralyzed
by hands and teeth
as with rain,
showers, cyclical
tears falling
ponds, visible
we are very base
dirt cakes our legs
as we tumble, wax pulls my hair
as you run your fingers through
(at last) i’m impaired

such color fills my lenses these days
spilling from the cups of hearts, flowers,
and eyes, alike none other.
they overwhelm any sense
i had before they started flowing
and paint my heart, flowers,
and eyes, akin to none other.
shouting in whisper,
writing in light and shadow
embracing in every way
spare touch, my heart, flowers,
and eyes listen,
read,
and press against
these saturating emotions
//
i want to bruise and bleed
i want to break to live
if this isn't human,
i don't know what is
i want to cry and scream
i want fight for
my want bend my back in half
i want to feel what you have
i want to fuck to breed
i want to catch my breath
if this isn't purity
i won't outlast
i need to hear your voice
quiet for my silence
but i need the moon to crash -
i need excitement

Lifeblood
02:15
|

i adore so
much i'm enthralled
by the lack of
air you leave behind
when you walk by.
moved by love and
time for lifeblood,
oh trusting divine
woken up by
poetry and song
inspired by our
clasped hands.
and with all this
trivial endures.
space is lifeblood;
oh trusting divine

For Nobody

feelings of anxious joy
turn my attention to a radiant, peering sky;
i find an answer, a remembrance, there
to why i'm rooted to the ground.
my attention drifts above to the playfully framing clouds
when in buoyant despair
for the same reasons;
i find solace
in your juxtaposed colors
as i feel that jarring incandescence
in myself.

Siege
02:49
|
|||
i've found my palace
below the trees
at the bottom
of your ocean.
still,
i lay and sleep awake
watching birds float calmly
towards the river's edge
wanting only to crawl
instead of swim,
insisting their path
is flight.
don’t paint me your colors
this water isn’t pure

Easy Living
04:01
|
|||
i live in pastels and
shake the anger off like
dew from the leaves
sleepless morning
two seasons sparring
like siblings gone amiss
fight for the sky like
night and day at dusk;
i found my heart way up there
on the moon, too full
waterlogged, about to turn to dust
